Shared Tour- Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Walking Tour This guided walking tour of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp will help you understand what life was like as a prisoner and how some prisoners were able to survive while tens of thousands perished in conditions of appalling brutality. This camp became a training ground for the SS and the site of the headquarters of the whole concentration camp system. After the Nazis were defeated, the Soviets used this as a camp for their own political enemies; thousands more were to perish over the next five years. Your specially trained guide will explain why concentration camps were established by the Nazis, how the SS used the execution complex to perpetrate mass murder, attempted escapes, the death marches and how the East German regime manipulated the history of the camp for its own ends.

This tour is provided on a reserved basis prior to departure. There is no need to reconfirm your tour, simply take your voucher to the meeting point.

When locating your guide, be careful not to confuse your Original Berlin Walks tour with "original walks," which is nearby. Your guide will be outside the restaurant, NOT outside the station itself.
Bring along a valid ABC public transport ticket if you already have one or your guide can help you to purchase one from the Berlin Transportation System or licensed shops.
