Take a private guided walking tour of the historic city of Toledo. Once Spain’s capital, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the perfect mix of Arab, Jewish and Christian influences. See landmarks representing all three religions, plus stunning El Greco artwork.
See the courtyard cloisters and royal coats of arms at the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery. Visit the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, a museum housed in the oldest standing synagogue in Europe. Built by Islamic architects in a Christian nation for Jewish worshippers in 1180, the synagogue long symbolized the goodwill between all three religions.
Finally, tour the Toledo Cathedral. Built on the remains of an ancient mosque, it is one of the most important Gothic Cathedrals in Spain. Admire the magnificent façade and the huge bell tower, then tour its lavish interiors including more than a dozen paintings by El Greco.
