 Highlights: Nestled in the shadow of imposing Mt. Vesuvius, Naples is among the most historic, artistic, and gastronomic cities in all of Italy. On this full-day tour from Sorrento, guests will experience the highlights of this gleaming city on the Bay of Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, participants will set out on a guided walking tour through the city’s historic center, passing such iconic sites as the Duomo, San Lorenzo Maggiore, and the Christmas Alley of San Gregorio Armeno. After passing through San Domenico Maggiore with its statue, The Veiled Christ, guests will arrive on Spaccanapoli—the main street of Old Town—and stop for a pizza lunch. The walking tour will continue in the afternoon with a visit to Piazza del Plebiscito, where guests will have time on their own to explore the Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera, Via Toleda, Galleria Umberto I, and more. Before returning to Naples, participants will enjoy a slice of traditional Neapolitan cake with coffee in the city’s famous Bar Gambrinus.
