Private Full day Tour - Lochs, Legends & the Jacobite Route
Travelers will be greeted at their hotel lobby by their experienced chauffer guide then embark on journey. The first stop is Urquhart Castle, perched dramatically on the shores of Loch Ness. Once the site of fierce clan battles, its evocative ruins offer sweeping views of the glen and perhaps even a glimpse of the elusive Nessie. Travelers continue to the Commando Memorial, a powerful tribute to the British Commando Forces of World War II. Set against the striking backdrop of Ben Nevis, it is both a place of remembrance and breathtaking beauty. The then journey continues to Glenfinnan, where the monument marks Bonnie Prince Charlie’s 1745 landing and the start of the Jacobite rising. Nearby, guests admire the Glenfinnan Viaduct—made famous by the Harry Potter films, as the steam train glides gracefully across its arches.
The day concludes at Fort Augustus, where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Ness. Guests watch boats pass through the impressive flight of locks before returning along the south bank to visit the Falls of Foyers and tranquil Dores Beach.
