Horse-drawn tradition and elegant hospitality come together on this relaxed journey through Killarney’s most scenic landscapes. The experience begins with a jaunting car ride from the lively town streets into the peaceful setting of Killarney National Park, where mountain views, oak and yew woodlands, and Ireland’s last remaining herd of native red deer create a striking natural backdrop. Traveling deeper into the park reveals views of the MacGillycuddy Reeks before continuing toward Ross Castle on the shores of Lough Leane. Along the way, stories of local history, legends, and the castle’s former role as the seat of the O’Donoghue clan bring the landscape to life. The route then returns through leafy suburbs toward the historic Great Southern Hotel. The experience concludes with traditional High Tea served in the grand foyer, featuring finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, pastries, and tea or coffee, offering a refined finish to a classic Killarney outing.
