Private Tour: Muiderslot, Naarden and De Haar
Step into three defining chapters of Dutch history on this private full-day castle journey. From medieval strongholds to aristocratic estates, the experience weaves together architecture, defense, and refined living across a scenic countryside setting.
Begin at Muiderslot, a 13th-century moated castle that evokes a true fairy-tale setting with its towers, drawbridge, and surrounding gardens. The story continues in Naarden, one of Europe’s best-preserved star-shaped fortresses. Its geometric design reveals how military innovation protected the Dutch Republic during centuries of conflict.
The final stop is De Haar Castle, the Netherlands’ largest and most opulent castle. Lavish interiors, stained glass, and landscaped gardens reflect the grandeur of 19th-century noble life. Throughout the day, guests gain insight into the shifting balance of power, wealth, and design that shaped the country’s past. This private excursion offers a varied and engaging perspective on the Netherlands’ architectural and cultural heritage.
