Private Tour: Vouvray Winery and Amboise - Amboise city
This full day Loire Valley experience introduces travelers to the region’s rich winemaking heritage and elegant Renaissance history. The day begins with a guided visit to a traditional Vouvray wine estate, where an expert leads a walk through historic troglodyte cellars carved into the limestone cliffs. Travelers learn about centuries-old production methods before enjoying a tasting of local wines, including selections aged in the estate’s rotonde cellar.
The experience continues at a family-run château whose winemaking traditions span more than 500 years. Here, guests savor a refined picnic set in the garden, featuring seasonal regional specialties paired with wines chosen during the tasting. The estate’s peaceful setting offers a relaxing break surrounded by vineyards.
In the afternoon, the tour concludes with a visit to one of Amboise’s celebrated landmarks. Tavelers explore either the Château d’Amboise, known for its early Renaissance architecture and sweeping river views, or the Château du Clos Lucé, where exhibits honor the legacy of Leonardo da Vinci.
