Florence’s Accademia Gallery offers a focused and immersive introduction to the genius of Michelangelo through a self-guided visit enhanced by expert audio commentary. Designed for independent exploration, the experience allows travelers to engage deeply with the sculptor’s work while moving through the galleries at a comfortable, unhurried pace.

At the heart of the collection stands David, carved by a young Michelangelo from a single block of marble and celebrated as one of the defining masterpieces of the Renaissance. The sculpture’s balance, anatomical precision, and expressive intensity reflect both artistic innovation and the civic ideals of Florence at the height of its power. Nearby, unfinished works such as I Prigioni and San Matteo offer rare insight into Michelangelo’s creative process, revealing figures emerging from stone.

Meeting point:
At the corner between Via Ricasoli and Piazza San Marco, in front of the loggiato of Accademia delle Belle Arti. Our Assistant will be waiting for you, wearing light blue clothing with Caf Tour and Gray Line Logos.

Same as meeting location.

Important Information:
We suggest to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing is recommended to visit places of worship.

To collect the audioguide inside the museum you have to show the original copy of your Identity Card or Passport, theywill keep your ID document until the end of the visit when you will return the audio guide. If you lose or don't return the audio guide, you will be asked for a refund of € 250,00 per unit.

The service of pre-booking provided by Caf Tour & Travel ensures to skip the long line (or the general admission line). Despite our reservations, during periods of increased inflow of visitors, the admission to the museums may be subject to delays due to: – Security check at the entrance (metal detector) – The maximum number of people allowed at the same time inside the Museum for security reasons. Based on the above reasons any possible delay cannot be attributable to Caf Tour & Travel responsibility.

Audio-guide not available for children under the age of 6.

This tour operates from Tuesday to Sunday, except for the first Sunday of each month, January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
