Small Group - A day on the Island: Arran
Leave the energy of Glasgow behind and discover the Isle of Arran—often called “Scotland in Miniature”—on this full-day tour. Arran offers the best of Scotland in one compact, scenic destination: dramatic coastlines, forested trails, rolling moors, and towering mountains. Begin with a drive to Ardrossan and board the ferry for a picturesque crossing to Brodick. Keep an eye out for dolphins and jellyfish as you cruise across the Firth of Clyde.
Arrive in Brodick and continue to Brodick Castle, once the seat of the Dukes of Hamilton. Explore the richly decorated Victorian interiors, then step outside to wander through formal gardens and surrounding woodlands. Hear stories of the castle’s past—and its rumored hauntings—before continuing your journey.
Spend the afternoon discovering more of Arran. Visit coastal villages such as Lochranza or Blackwaterfoot, explore castle ruins, and stop for local specialties like handmade chocolates or artisan cheese. After a day of island exploration, return to Glasgow by evening ferry.
