Begin with a drive through the rugged northern Highlands, where rivers, lochs, and mountains shape the view. Stop in Ullapool, a harbor town known for its fishing heritage and crafts. Continue to Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve, where geology meets art through rock carvings and sculptures.
Visit the haunting ruins of Ardvreck Castle on the shores of Loch Assynt. Learn about the 15th-century MacLeod clan and the legend of Eimhir, the “mermaid of Assynt.” Then head to the west coast for lunch in Lochinver, a village known for its savory pies and coastal charm.
