Known for its rich distilling tradition, Speyside is home to nearly 50 whisky distilleries, each offering a unique expression shaped by centuries of craftsmanship and the region’s distinct climate.
Begin the day with a visit to Cairn Distillery, a modern facility rooted in tradition. Learn about their process, explore the site, and enjoy a tasting of their signature whiskies. Afterward, stop in a nearby village for a traditional Scottish lunch before heading deeper into the eastern Highlands.
The journey continues to Tomintoul, one of Scotland’s highest villages and a gateway to the River Avon. Visit The Whisky Castle, a specialty shop that has showcased Scotland’s finest single malts for more than 120 years. Enjoy a guided tasting and browse their extensive selection. The return to Inverness travels through the scenic hills of Glenlivet, offering views as memorable as the flavors.
