Guests are greeted in the camegah (lounge), where the grandeur of the building and the vast central dome, among the largest hamam domes in Istanbul, set the tone for an unforgettable experience. As attendants explain the ritual, guests may sip traditional homemade serbet and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere before changing into a soft pestamal, the classic cotton wrap. Inside the warm chambers, dedicated attendants, natir for ladies and tellak for men, guide each guest through the centuries-old cleansing ceremony. The ritual begins on the heated Göbektasi marble platform, followed by exfoliation with a kese mitt and a soothing köpük (foam) wash. Gentle rinsing and massage leave the skin refreshed and purified. Afterward, guests may linger amid the steam-swirled serenity or return to the camegah to relax on plush sofas and sample traditional refreshments from the café menu; a timeless ritual of rejuvenation, hospitality, and Ottoman grace.
