Private Just into the Highlands Day Tour
Your driver/guide will collect you from your accommodation at 09:00 am to begin your journey into the Scottish Highlands. You’ll select up to three stops for the day, with each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s rich history and natural beauty. One potential stop is Scone Palace, the former crowning place of Scottish Kings and now the family home of the Earl of Mansfield. Stroll the estate’s grounds, home to a replica of the Stone of Destiny and the chapel on Moot Hill, then you could continue on to Pitlochry, a charming Victorian town nestled in Highland Perthshire. Another option of a stop at Blair Castle explores the ancestral seat of the Dukes of Atholl, which once withstood a siege during the Jacobite uprising of 1745. For a break, stop at House of Bruar, an upscale country store offering gourmet Scottish fare, shopping, and a chance to see the nearby Bruar Falls. Queen’s View offers one of Scotland’s most iconic vistas, overlooking Loch Tummel and the peak of Schiehallion — a site associated with both Queen Isabella and Queen Victoria. You might also choose to visit Dunkeld Cathedral, a striking mix of Gothic and Norman architecture perched on the River Tay, where relics from the town’s medieval past are on display. Or delve into military history at The Black Watch Castle & Museum, located in Balhousie Castle, where uniforms, medals, and personal stories bring Scotland’s oldest Highland regiment to life.
