Budapest - 3 nights

DAY 1: Arrive in Budapest
Arrive in Budapest and collect your bags. As you exit customs, your private transfer will be waiting to escort you to your hotel. You'll have some time to get settled before heading to the lobby to meet the guide who will take you on your Budapest Private City Tour. Afterward, enjoy a meal at a traditional Hungarian restaurant before heading back to the hotel or gambling the night away at the Monte Carlo Budapest.

BUDAPEST PRIVATE CITY TOUR
Your tour begins at the Chain Bridge and passes the emblematic Parliament Building before crossing over the Margaret Bridge to the Buda side of the Danube. You'll stop in the Castle District, where you'll take a short walk to see such attractions as Matthias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion. Next, you'll ascend to the citadel atop Gellert Hill, where you can marvel at the city spread out below you. Back in Pest, you'll wander the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue of Europe, followed by a drive to the City Park. After passing Europe's largest thermal spa, the Budapest Zoo and the Amusement Park, you'll make a short stop at the Heroes' Square, built in 1896 to commemorate Hungary's thousand-year anniversary. Your tour will take you along Andrassy Avenue to downtown Pest, passing the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica on the way.

DAY 2:
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel before heading out for your full-day Danube Tour. When you return, you'll have the evening ahead to eat, relax, and sleep a contented sleep.

DANUBE TOUR
This unforgettable tour along the "Blue Danube" will feature stops in Visegrad, Esztergom and Szentendre. In Visegrad, you'll walk on the 750-year-old stones of the formal Royal Residence (entrance not included) and learn about life in the middle ages. You'll continue on to Esztergom, the northern gate of Budapest and the center of the Catholic Church. Here you'll visit the largest cathedral of Hungary - the burial place of such famous cardinals of Hungary as Primate Jozsef Mindszenty - and enjoy the view of Slovakia across the river. Your final stop will be the small artists' village of Szentendre, nestled at the gate of the Danube Bend. Wander the baroque settlement, then climb the narrow streets to the Danube panorama point. You'll have the opportunity to visit the museums, like the world-famous Margit Kovacs Ceramic Museum and the Confectionery Museum, or explore the village shops. During the summer you'll return to Budapest by boat.

DAY 3:
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting up for your private cooking tour of Budapest. When it's over, you'll have the afternoon and evening ahead of you to explore, relax, and soak up the atmosphere on your last full day in Budapest. Ease your tension in a thermal bath, or nurse a cocktail in trendy Szimpla Kert, the city's first ruin bar.

PRIVATE BUDAPEST COOKING CLASS
Your tour begins with a trip to a local market, where you'll sample local specialties and shop for ingredients for an authentic three-course lunch. In class, your teacher will walk you through the steps to make pogacsa (a snack similar to a cheese scone), chicken paprikash with dumplings, and a popular Hungarian dessert. You'll learn culinary traditions passed down for generations, then dine on your lunch with a glass of local wine.

Vienna's Schonbrunn Palace lit up at night

Vienna - 3 nights

DAY 4: Arrive in Vienna
After breakfast in your Budapest hotel, make your way to the train station for your first-class ride to Vienna. Upon arrival, gather your luggage and head to your hotel. You'll have the afternoon to rest or stretch your legs before venturing out for your private walking tour of Vienna. When you return, call it a night or take the opportunity to investigate Vienna's burgeoning bar scene.

PRIVATE VIENNA WALKING TOUR
Led by a certified professional guide, this private walking tour through old Vienna is a perfect introduction to the city and can be completely customized to suit your interests. Stop by the Hofburg Imperial Palace, home of the Habsburgs from 1273 to 1918. See the Spanish Riding School, where horses perform routines to classical music, or visit the Jewish Quarter, whose inhabitants were almost completely wiped out during WWII. Other possible sites of interest include Maria at the Shore Church, the Old City Hall, St. Michael's Square, the University of Vienna, and the Burgtheatre.

DAY 5:
After breakfast, head out to meet the guide for your full-day tour of the Wachau Valley. When you return, you'll have the evening to do as you wish! Eat dinner in a traditional Viennese restaurant or see the glowing city lights from the top of the Riesenrad ferris wheel.

HIDDEN WACHAU VALLEY SMALL GROUP TOUR
This tour will take you through the most scenic 24 miles of the Wachau Valley, with its quaint old towns, vineyards, castle ruins, and the Benedictine Melk Abbey. After a wine tasting in Durnstein and an exploration of the town, you'll continue on to Weissenkirchen for lunch at a traditional family-owned tavern (not included). Next, you're on to Spitz for a wine tasting before taking a ferry ride to Melk (summer season only) and returning to Vienna.

DAY 6:
You're in for an exciting day, so eat a good breakfast before meeting in the hotel lobby for your all-day tour of Salzburg. You'll arrive back in Vienna in time for dinner, after which point you can pack your bags for Prague and collapse in exhaustion onto your bed.

SALZBURG TOUR
En route to Mozart's birthplace, feast your eyes upon the mountains and lakes of beautiful Salzkammergut—where the Emperor Franz Joseph and his family used to spend their holidays. You'll arrive in Salzburg, on the shores of Lake Fuschl and Lake Wolfgang, just in time for lunch (not included). During the afternoon you'll take a stroll through the old city, visiting important sites like the Cathedral, the Festival Hall, and St. Peter's Abbey Church and graveyard. You'll see Mozart's birthplace in the Getreidegasse, then stop at the Mirabell Palace Gardens and take in the view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress. You can head out for some exploration on your own, but make sure to be back before the tour departs for Vienna.

Boats on Prague's Vltava River

Prague - 3 nights

DAY 7: Arrive in Prague
After breakfast, make your way to the train station for your train to Prague. When you arrive, gather your things and set off to your hotel - your home for the final three nights of your central European adventure. Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with your new surroundings. Check out the baroque statues lining the Charles Bridge, or listen to the jazz bands busking in Old Town Square. After dinner, make your way to the meeting point for your night tour of Prague Castle.

PRAGUE CASTLE BY NIGHT TOUR
Your tour begins with a short tram ride up the hill, where you'll be met by the glowing facades of Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. The crowds will have long since dispersed for the day, so you'll have the area to yourself as your guide provides commentary on the historic Golden Lane. From the top of the hill you'll have stunning nighttime views of Old Town, Charles Bridge, and the Vltava River. Your tour will end where it began after a stroll down Nerudova, Prague's most iconic street.

DAY 8:
You'll need all the energy you can get out of breakfast for your all-day tour of the village of Cesky Krumlov. You'll probably be hungry for dinner when you return, so treat yourself to an indulgent Czech meal. Be sure to get some sleep after that so you can enjoy your last full day in Prague feeling rejuvenated!

CESKY KRUMLOV UNESCO TOUR WITH LUNCH
This all-day excursion will give you ample time to admire the extraordinary southern Bohemian countryside, with its glistening ponds and picturesque villages. The entire town of Cesky Krumlov is UNESCO-listed and comprises the castle, chateau, and more than three hundred historic houses. The Cesky Krumlov Castle stands proudly atop the rock above the Vltava River, surrounded by landscaped gardens and towering over the medieval village below. In the town, you'll wander past the Renaissance facades of painted houses, traditional artisan shops and medieval taverns. This tour includes lunch.

DAY 9:
The morning and early afternoon are yours to explore! Visit the Prague Jewish Museum or lose yourself in the stacks of the Strahov Library. Hopefully you've worked up an appetite, as you'll be heading out this evening on a Prague beer and tapas gastronomy tour.

PRAGUE BEER AND CZECH TAPAS TOUR
Via the tram and metro, your guide will take you to four beer halls and a microbrewery as you learn about the Czech/bohemian lifestyle and beer culture. You'll be sampling five beers of your choice and four traditional beer snacks/tapas, such as pork chili, pickled sausage, smoked pork neck, and Bohemian-style white cabbage. You'll also receive a Prague beer map marking other favorite spots in the city.

DAY 10:
Enjoy one final stroll through Prague's charming streets before meeting your transfer representative in the lobby of your hotel and heading to the airport for your flight home. Whisper a quiet farewell to the enchanting sights, sounds, and smells of central Europe. And don't worry - it'll be waiting right there for your return.
