Private Outlander Day Tour
Begin your Outlander-themed adventure with a 09:00 am pick-up from your accommodation as you follow in the footsteps of Claire and Jamie across some of Scotland’s most iconic filming locations. Your first stop is Falkland, which stood in as 1946 Inverness in the series. Here, you’ll recognize familiar sights like the Bruce Fountain and Mrs. Baird’s B&B, now The Covenanter Hotel. Continue to Culross, a remarkably preserved 17th-century village that served as the fictional Cranesmuir. You’ll find Claire’s herb garden at Culross Palace and wander cobbled streets that appear frozen in time. Next, visit Midhope Castle, the exterior of which served as Lallybroch, Jamie Fraser’s ancestral home. While the interior is derelict, the exterior remains a must-see for fans. Your journey continues to Blackness Castle, a 15th-century fortress that played the role of Fort William — the site of some of the series’ most emotional moments. For your final stop, choose between Linlithgow Palace, which served as the prison entrance and corridor scenes, or Bakehouse Close off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, transformed into Jamie’s Print Shop and the emotional site of Claire and Jamie’s reunion. It’s one of the city’s most atmospheric and best-preserved historic lanes.
