The route continues to Hautvillers, a charming hilltop village known as the birthplace of Champagne and the burial site of Dom Pérignon. The afternoon includes visits to two family-run wineries, where traditional methods and personal craftsmanship take center stage. Guided cellar tours reveal each producer’s approach, followed by tastings that highlight a range of styles and expressions. With a maximum of eight people, the experience feels intimate and unhurried, offering meaningful interaction with local producers before returning to Reims.
