Small Group: Cawdor Castle & Cairngorms National park day tour including castle entry
Step into the heart of the Scottish Highlands on this full-day tour that blends history, nature, and culture. From the Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age burial site that dates back more than 4,000 years to Cawdor Castle, a striking 14th-century fortress linked to Shakespeare’s Macbeth and still surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Stop at Castle Roy, where the Highland landscape meets heritage, and meet the well-known Highland cow, Murdo. Explore nearby forests of ancient Scots Pine, some of the last remnants of the Caledonian Forest, home to red squirrels, deer, and native birdlife.
Pause in the town of Aviemore for lunch, where local shops and cafes offer a welcoming Highland atmosphere. In the afternoon, journey into Cairngorms National Park for sweeping views of Scotland’s tallest mountains and wild glens.
This tour combines dramatic scenery with fascinating history, making it an unforgettable Highland experience.
