Discover Montserrat’s mountain scenery and the flavors of the Pla de Bages wine region on an unhurried full-day experience. Guests ascend by panoramic cogwheel train, taking in sweeping views before exploring the Monastery and Basilica with a local guide.

Approximately 2 hours of free time allow travelers to shape their own mountain visit. They can seek out scenic viewpoints, follow walking trails, browse the farmers market, or choose to explore the museum.

The journey continues to Oller del Mas, a castle-winery dating to the 10th century. A guided estate visit introduces guests to the setting before a tasting of three Pla de Bages wines highlights the region’s character. A multicourse traditional Catalan lunch at a local restaurant follows, bringing regional flavors to the table. Together, mountain discovery, historic surroundings, and food and wine create a varied day of exploration.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Montserrat and the Bages region may be cooler or more extreme than Barcelona, check the forecast and bring water in summer. 

Children aged 3 or under travel free without a seat or meal and must sit on an adult’s lap.
