This full-day excursion invites guests to experience the romantic vision of King Ludwig II, Bavaria’s legendary “fairy-tale king.” Hidden among the foothills of the Alps, Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles stand as two of Europe’s most extraordinary royal creations. Linderhof, inspired by Versailles, reflects Ludwig’s admiration for French grandeur, while Neuschwanstein’s soaring towers and mountain views evoke the spirit of medieval legend and fantasy. During the journey, a brief stop in the picturesque village of Oberammergau offers time to admire its traditional painted façades and woodcarvings, famous for the town’s Passion Play tradition. Entrance fees are not included. Oberammergau cannot be accessed from early December through late March due to weather conditions.
