Private Hike to Madonna della Corona Sanctuary with Lunch - from Sirmione
The Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona offers one of northern Italy’s most dramatic cultural landscapes, set high on the cliffs of Monte Baldo and overlooking the Adige Valley. A guided trek introduces the natural setting surrounding the sanctuary, where forested paths, quiet viewpoints, and rocky outcrops create a striking transition from village foothills to the mountainside. Along the route, commentary highlights the region’s geology and the long history of devotional paths that have linked these communities for centuries.
The sanctuary itself appears built directly into the cliff face, creating an architectural profile that has drawn pilgrims since the Middle Ages. Its elevated position, nearly 775 meters above the valley, provides a powerful sense of seclusion and reflection. Inside, artwork and chapels illustrate the site’s spiritual significance and its role in regional tradition.
Together, the ascent, natural surroundings, and extraordinary setting offer travelers a meaningful look at one of Verona’s most distinctive religious and cultural landmarks.
