Learn the art of traditional Italian cooking on this small group experience in the heart of Bologna, a city celebrated for its rich culinary heritage. Designed for an intimate and hands-on approach, the class introduces participants to the techniques behind two beloved Italian specialties.
Guided by a skilled local chef, guests prepare lasagna alla bolognese from scratch, starting with fresh green spinach pasta. They create a classic ragù and a smooth béchamel sauce before layering the dish using time-honored methods. While the lasagna bakes, the focus shifts to dessert with a lesson in crafting homemade gelato using seasonal ingredients.
A typical Italian aperitivo adds to the experience before sitting down to enjoy the freshly prepared meal, paired with local wine. The session concludes with a takeaway cookbook featuring traditional recipes, allowing participants to recreate authentic Italian flavors at home.
