On this tour, guests will spend an exciting day cruising the Loch Ness, exploring Urquhart Castle, lunching at a local village, learning about Scotch whiskey, and visiting film locations of the “Outlander” series. In the morning, guests will make their way to 15 Union Street, to meet their guide and board the tour bus. They will drive down to the Loch Ness, and enjoy a boat cruise to the medieval Urquhart Castle, and explore the ruins. Later, they will have time to enjoy lunch at one of the local cafes in Beauly and explore the charming village on their own. Next, enjoy a Highland whisky experience. Take your time to learn how 'uisge beatha' (the 'water of life') is crafted and uncover the rich history behind one of Scotland's most iconic exports. Finally, set out to explore historic destinations featured in the “Outlander” book and TV series. At Culloden Battlefield, they will learn about the tumultuous Jacobite rebellion. Guests will also visit Clava Cairns, the inspiration behind the fictional Craigh Na Dun from “Outlander”, before returning to Inverness.
