Shared Tour: Skip the Line Pompeii Tour
Frozen beneath layers of volcanic ash for nearly two millennia, ancient Pompeii emerges today as one of the world's most powerful and evocative archaeological experiences. This full day tour from Rome delivers a deeply immersive exploration of this designated World Heritage Site, with skip-the-line access and a 2.5-hour guided visit with an expert licensed local guide. Guests walk the original streets of the city, discovering remarkably well-preserved houses, bakeries, temples, and public spaces still adorned with vivid frescoes and intricate mosaics that have survived the catastrophic 79 AD eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Commentary from a professional guide brings the human stories and historical context of the site to life with depth and precision, while complimentary headsets ensure every word reaches clearly. Following the site tour, guests enjoy free time to explore independently before departing for Rome in the late afternoon.
