Guests leave Barcelona behind for a day of mountain views, historic landmarks, and Catalan flavors. A local guide leads a visit to Montserrat’s Monastery and Basilica before approximately 2 hours of free time. Travelers can seek out viewpoints, explore the trails, browse the farmers market, or choose a museum visit at their own pace.

The journey continues into the Pla de Bages wine region to Oller del Mas, a 10th-century castle-winery. A guided estate visit introduces guests to this historic setting, followed by a tasting of three regional wines.

A multi-course traditional Catalan lunch at a local restaurant rounds out the day. From Montserrat’s mountain surroundings to the castle-winery, the experience balances guided discovery, independent exploration, and time to savor the region’s food and wine.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Montserrat and the Bages region may be cooler or more extreme than Barcelona; check the forecast and bring water in summer. 

Children aged 3 or under travel free without a seat or meal and must sit on an adult’s lap.
