Bergen to Oslo: Flåm Railway with overnight in Flåm including Fjord Cruise – One way
Norway's most celebrated scenic journey connects Bergen and Oslo through an extraordinary sequence of railways, fjords, and mountain landscapes, and the route earns its reputation most fully when the pace allows time to linger. On day one, travelers board the Bergen Railway from Bergen, climbing through lush mountain valleys and past cascading rivers to the high station of Myrdal. The iconic Flåm Railway, one of the world's steepest, then descends in dramatic fashion, through deep gorges, past thundering waterfalls, and along rushing riverbanks, to the charming fjord village of Flåm, where the journey pauses for an overnight stay, or several. When ready to continue, a silent zero-emission electric cruise sets off across the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, framed by sheer 1,700-meter cliffs and cascading peaks, to Gudvangen. A scenic bus through the spectacular Nærøydalen valley leads to Voss, and a final Bergen Railway train delivers travelers into the heart of Oslo.
Please note: This itinerary includes an overnight stop in Flåm between day one and day two. Overnight accommodation in Flåm is not included and must be arranged separately prior to travel.
