Important Information:
The train ride between Interlaken and Jungfraujoch is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes each way.
The first train headed in the direction of Jungfraujoch leaves Interlaken Ost at 6:35 am. Trains then run hourly, at 4 minutes past the hour (7:04, 8:04, 9:04, etc.).
The last train headed in the direction of Interlaken departs Jungfraujoch at 4:47 pm.
Reservations for departure and return trains are not mandatory for less than 10 passengers from November till April; however, it is recommended in order to avoid waiting time due to fully booked trains. A seat reservations costs 5 Swiss Francs each way and can be done directly at the train stations of Jungfrau Railways or online: https://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/jungfraujoch-top-of-europe/book-priority-boarding/Jungfraujoch is at 3,454 m.
Temperatures may be below freezing and weather can change quickly. Wear layers, jacket, closed shoes, hat, gloves, and sunglasses.
It makes a nice roundtrip if you choose to go up to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken Ost via Lauterbrunnen and return from Jungfraujoch to Interlaken via Eigergletscher, the Eiger Express Gondola and Grindelwald Terminal.
