Itinerary:
Your personal driver will pick you up from the hotel (see pickups note) in order to start this wonderful tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Epidaurus, Mycenae, and the port town of Nafplion.
The tour will begin with a scenic drive via the coastal road from Athens towards the Corinth Canal. It will take about an hour to get to Corinth, where you shall briefly stop to view it before crossing the narrow canal via the bridge which connects mainland Greece to the Peloponnese.
After the brief stop, continue towards Mycenae; one of the most important cities of Ancient Greece. The ancient site of Mycenae, located in the northeastern Peloponnese of Greece, is a captivating archaeological marvel. Nestled upon a hilltop, it showcases the remnants of a once-mighty civilization that flourished around 1600 to 1100 BCE. Enclosed by imposing fortifications, the site reveals the grandeur of the Mycenaean civilization through its iconic Lion Gate, the royal tombs, such as the Tomb of Agamemnon, and the awe-inspiring Cyclopean walls constructed with massive stone blocks. The tour will continue with a drive through the plains of Argos towards the city of Nafplion. Nafplio, a captivating town nestled on the eastern coast of the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece, exudes charm and historical grandeur in a picturesque setting.
