Private Hike the Caldera of Santorini Tour
The rim of Santorini's ancient caldera offers one of the most dramatic walking routes in the Aegean, and this private guided hike covers it in full. Setting off from Fira, the island's main town, the trail traces the edge of the volcanic crater northward through the hillside villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli before arriving in Oia. At every turn, the path reveals sweeping views across the deep blue Aegean and down into the caldera, with the outline of Santorini's submerged volcano always in sight. The route stretches approximately 6 miles, combining cliff-side paths, dirt tracks, and quiet village streets, taking roughly 3 hours of hiking at a relaxed pace. A private guide leads the way throughout, pausing at a scenic spot along the trail for a short break and light snack before the route concludes in the iconic clifftop village of Oia.
