Private Tour: Hiking and Local Villages Exploration Tour
Draped in rugged beauty, Naxos offers some of the Aegean's most rewarding hiking experiences. This customized private full-day tour pairs guests with an experienced guide to explore the island's verdant interior at their own pace, two exceptional recommended routes.
The first follows a gentle riverside loop through the charming three-village cluster of Potamia. Shaded paths wind past orchards, olive groves, and gardens teeming with traditional Naxian life, leading to the historic Catholic church of Theoskepasti and the Episkopi, once the summer retreat of the Catholic archbishop.
The second route ventures into the lush Tragea Valley, beginning in Halki, the island's former commercial heart. The trail climbs through dense oak forests to reach Panagia Drosiani, one of the Cyclades' most revered Byzantine churches, adorned with centuries-old frescoes. The path then weaves through the picturesque villages of Kaloxilos and Akadimi, with sweeping southern views from Moni along the way.
