Shared Tour: Shared Tour- Normandy and the Landing Beaches Motorcoach Tour
Journey across superb Normandy countryside where we will start with a moving visit to the Caen Memorial. While dedicated to peace, the memorial devotes itself to illustrations and films about the Second World War and the Normandy landings of June 1944. In the afternoon we will visit the Pointe du Hoc followed by the American cemetery of Saint-Laurent at Colleville where 9,386 soldiers are buried. The schedule (1 hour) allows for a walk on Omaha Beach, below the cemetery. Next, the tour will either make a short stop for pictures at Arromanches OR Juno Beach. Thoughout the day, our guide will be providing commentary on all sites and explain how D-Day and the Battle of Normandy unfolded.
