Small Group: Home Cooking Class at local family
Some of the most meaningful travel experiences happen around a kitchen table. This small-group cooking class invites guests into a traditional Cappadocian stone house, where a local family opens their home and their recipes for an intimate afternoon of hands-on cooking and genuine cultural exchange. The setting alone sets the tone: arched ceilings, handcrafted Turkish textiles, and traditional decor that reflect centuries of Anatolian life. Guests work alongside the family to prepare a selection of homemade Turkish dishes using fresh, organic ingredients sourced directly from the family’s garden, including seasonal produce, garden herbs, honey from local beehives, and eggs from the family’s own chickens. Throughout the session, the family shares traditional cooking techniques and generations-old recipes in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The experience concludes with everyone sitting together to enjoy the meal, swapping stories over dishes that capture the true flavors of Cappadocian home cuisine.
