Small Group: Morning Lake Bled – An Alpine Pearl Tour
Lake Bled pairs alpine scenery with stories that reach back centuries. Guests cross the lake aboard a traditional pletna boat, taking in the water and surrounding landscape on the way to Bled Island, Slovenia's only island. There, a church crowns the hill, and the legendary wishing bell offers a glimpse of a cherished local tradition.
Back on shore, the journey follows the lake toward Bled Castle. The medieval fortress stands high on a cliff, with views across the water and the alpine landscape. Once a stronghold of the Bishops of Brixen, the castle now welcomes guests to explore its museum and see demonstrations of traditional crafts. Its history and hilltop setting offer a different perspective on the lake below.
The visit ends with a slice of Bled cream cake, the region's beloved specialty. Between the boat crossing, castle, and local dessert, guests experience the scenery and traditions that make Lake Bled memorable.
